ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION AB/NWT - VETERAN STORIES

In 2017, SAW was brought on to create four short documentaries telling the stories of individual veterans who had been helped by the Royal Canadian Legion's AB/NWT branch. These are showcased on a microsite, within the branch's main website.

I was in charge of the post-production; my role rotated between video editor, art director, animator, compositor, color, and even sound designer. Multiple-exposure compositing techniques were employed for B-Roll on Klaus's video and the trailer.

Live action direction was conducted by David Imbach at SAW, camera-work by Dave as well as by Noah Fallis at Glean Productions. I shot B-Cam on Josh's video, as well as B-Roll macros and ink blot footage for compositing throughout the series.

One piece in the series was entirely animated in 2D (A View from a Veteran), this was art directed and hand-illustrated by Steve Pearson at SAW. Voice-over for this was directed and engineered by Mitch Lee at Redemption Audio and voiced by Peter Flihan. I took care of the sound design on this one.

We also produced a trailer for the series, art directed by Steve Pearson and Dave Imbach, and animated / composited by me.
